A mob of shoppers rushing for a sale on DVD players trampled the first woman in line and knocked her unconscious as they scrambled for the shelves at a Wal-Mart Supercenter. 'We want her to come back as a shopper.' " Um, I would be worried she doesn't come back with a cadre of hungry lawyers who want to eat you for dinner. But in the end, Walmart redeems itself: "the store apologized and offered to put a DVD player on hold for her." Oh how sweet. I also heard that while she was on the ground her sister was begging people to stop stepping on her. And so begins another season of "peace on earth, good will toward men".
