Who is linking to whom?

I must admit, I have been really getting into blogging technology recently - a trend which will make a lot more sense to the few people who read my blog (is anyone listening?) in the next couple of weeks. But I have recently been looking a lot at companies like Technorati, Feedster, Six Apart and the rest of the usual suspects, and have had fun playing around with some of their technology.

I am especially impressed with Technorati and a certain MT/Technorati plugin that allows me to display the last few people who linked to me, as no one seems to go through the trouble to use trackback pings. The stats are taking a while to trickle down to my blog, but I can find people who have linked to me pretty quickly anyways. It is depressing to see just how few people do, but that is not the point. I just love technologies that start to open the hood of social networking, that start to push the envelope a bit of what on the surface seems like a bunch of people with too much time on their hands who for some reason write and put stuff on the Internet.
