Earlier this week a disturbing image was captured by mall cameras: a car was recorded driving up to a woman, the woman breaks into a run, and then another camera sees the men chasing her and finally carrying her back to the car and placing her in the trunk before driving off. Aside from a kidnapping being caught on tape, what is most disturbing is the fact that this was done in front of dozens of bystanders. Guess how many people called the police upon witnessing this? Zero.

Yep, none.

As a result, the police are unable to do much because the tapes were too blurry to capture a license plate or the identity of anyone involved.

This reminds me of the tragic story of Kitty Genovese, a woman who was brutally stabbed in Queens in broad daylight. Guess how many people called the police as she was attacked for 30 minutes?
