I'd actually love to use this plugin but the instructions are not clear. Remember the majority of us are idiots and not as well-versed in plugin installation as you are. All you smarty MT guys think everyone knows what you're talking about. I haven't a clue what "Set the current working directory to your MT_HOME" means, or how to get this plugin working - aside from knowing I have to upload it via FTP.

So let's see if I can't provide clearer instructions - my apologies to those who had any difficulty.

1. Via your FTP client, navigate to the MT directory that contains the file mt.cgi.
2. Then navigate to the plugins directory.
3. Create a directory (mkdir) called PromoteThis. Please note, that MT is case sensitive.
4. Navigate to the PromoteThis directory you just created.
5. Unpack the PromoteThis-x.y.tar.gz to your desktop.
6. Upload the PromoteThis.pl located in the Desktop/PromoteThis-x.y/plugins/PromoteThis to your FTP server.

And you are done. PromoteThis should now be working. If you have any problems, please visit the Majordojo Support Forums for help.

Promote This! Command Line Installation Instructions

1. Navigate to the MT directory that contains the file mt.cgi.
2. Unpack the PromoteThis-x.y.tar.gz on your server.
3. Execute the following Unix command: cp -a PromoteThis-x.y/* ./.
