From the "Things I wish other people would build department"
As I was slogging through email today I was suddenly struck by the desire to temporarily bury some of the emails in my inbox. There were messages there that [for whatever reason] were producing enough anxiety for me that a part of me was actively trying to avoid email all together, just so that I could avoid having to deal with those messages.
But the thing is that I couldn't not answer those emails, I just really didn't want them sapping my momentum. I just wish I could have clicked a button and have Thunderbird hide them from me, and then redeliver them five minutes later. In essence: a snooze button for my email.
Oh man, wouldn't that be nice?

I do have a snooze button for my e-mail, and I have to admit that I love it. I use it mainly for 'controversial' e-mails, for which I don't know yet what to do with until I have some uninterrupted time to think about it. By the way, I use Outlook with the GTD add-on.
If you ever getting around to using a Mac and Apple Mail, check out MailTags and Mail ActOn. You can do exactly that.
How do you snooze an email with ActOn or MailTags??
