Developer Token or Subscriber Id?

A user asked what they should use as their ID in mtamazon.pl plugin settings. They have an Amazon "Developer Token," but the plugin calls for a "Subscriber Id." The difference between these two never really got a sufficient explanation from Amazon, so I asked Jeff Barr a while ago. He explained that Amazon will continue to support the now legacy "Developer Tokens" still out and about, but that Amazon encourages everyone to sign up for a Subscriber Id.

Of course, if you find yourself editing the mtamazon.config file, then you really should consider upgrading MTAmazon for MTAmazon32.

Comments

Just so you know, Amazon came back with my subscriber id and it was by dev token.
