Its rough, but is available

I will keep this short and sweet: you can now download the first version of Media Manager. There was much rejoicing.

Disclaimer: This version is still very rough, but it will at least give you a preview of what is to come. All the nav works, and a lot of the functionality is there, but I have not done a lot of testing on this thing. You must use this software at your own risk. You have been warned.

Known Issues:

  • Configuring Media Manager via the MT plugin settings interface(s) is relatively broken.

  • You must configure MTAmazon manually - until I get MTAmazon-compat deployed, which plugs it into MT3.2 directly

  • The CSS for published reviews are kinda broken and don't look hot.

  • The review editing interface does not yet have all the features of MT's posting interface.

  • Some application based stylesheets are a little out of date and their are residual layout issues that need to be fixed.

  • There are some left over nomenclature issues from BookQueueToo - mainly item statii: "Read," and "Unread." Of course, this terminology does not apply to music for example.

Once again, fantastic work! Thank you.

I've had a little hack at the code to make it work with the Amazon.co.uk web services - I've posted the modified MediaManager.pm in case any one else wants it... nothing major, just 3 or 4 slight changes. Perhaps in a future version, there could be an option to change the locale...?

Anyway, thanks for this!

Oops - I forgot to say where I'd posted the modified file - http://www.dafyd.me.uk/docs/MediaManager.pm
