Media Manager's Beta Period

When I started rewriting BookQueueToo I figured I would release the full version of Media Manager when Movable Type 3.2 went gold, but I would like to extend the Beta Period for a week or two and allow more people to download and install the software and provide feedback. A few people have already contacted me and provided me fantastic feedback, which is helping me to plan for Media Manager 1.1 (not to mention fix issues being found in 1.0).

Media Manager is getting pretty solid, but there still are a few things left to do:

  1. Migrate users off of BookQueue's database structure to a new Media Manager structure - this will be completely transparent, and will fix a lot of data integrity issues that have resulted from a few bugs in BookQueueToo. This is the last step in removing all remnants of BookQueue and BookQueueToo.
  2. Storing rating information in the database as well as the review meta data so that users can use template tags to sort by rating information.
  3. Tag support! Maybe... that could wait for 1.1.
  4. Rewrite the template tag reference!
  5. Release MTAmazon32 1.01 which will contain more config parameters to ease the internationalization of MTAmazon

I have a question . . . will Media Manager still work even when I switch over to dynamic publishing? I have a blogroll created by another plug-in that I'd like to have updated automatically and am trying to decide what to do when 3.2 comes out.

That is a good question. To be honest, I am not sure off the top of my head. Sad isn't it? I will add that to my list of things to test and investigate for full 1.0 release. Cross your fingers, I hope it is as easy as it sounds.

getting this error when I try to post a review: An error occurred:

Can't call method "param" on an undefined value at /home/stfamcom/public_html/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/MediaManager/../../plugins/MediaManager/MediaManager.pl line 163.

also I noticed that there is no place to setup my associate id in this one like I did in the last one. I found your id in a default of the mtamazon32.pl file and changed it to mine, but I'm wondering if that is causing some of my errors.
