Ok, ok, ok, Release Candidate 2 can't wait.

There has been one bug that has been plaguing enough people that I figure I owe you guys a fix. I hate bugs, and while normally I try to stay on top of them and get releases out as quickly as I can, I have been holding out in a hope to have only two release candidates. So much for that plan. So there is likely to be one more release candidate prior to going gold and before I start work on Media Manager 1.1 (the primary feature of which being "tags"). That will give me the opportunity to incorporate all of Walt's fantastic UI enhancements. This release does get his enhanced toolbar though, which is very nice. Enjoy.

Oh, and as always, if you like Media Manager and you can spare a moment, please donate to support further development and keep me motivated. I don't do it for the money, but it helps.

Change Log

  • Fixed bug where if user selected "all rows" in the display options then no items appeared.
  • Book titles and images in reviews are now linked in published weblog.
  • Fixed bug where a book being added to a queue is assigned a catalog of "Book" and not "Books"
  • Added more verbose error when use attempts to access list_items mode without specifying a blog id.
  • Added <$MTItemTitle$> tag - which can be used in place of MTAmazon's MTAmazonTitle tag. This will show the title of the item the user choose for the item.
  • Wrapped all text in <MT_TRANS phrase=""> tags.
  • Fixed bug where editing the finished on date was wonky. It required the user to re-enter the finished on date each and every time.
  • Added Walt's new toolbar to the post screen (more of Walt's UI work to come).

Comments

In expanded/compact mode, the default filter used to be created on descending, it seems to be ascending now and it won't change when you select descending.

Create review didn't put the pictures in, didn't save the entry id to the book listing.

hold on about the review stuff, it was my bad. I clicked on preview and just saved it from the preview screen and it lost everything when I went back and readded the stuff it, it was there. Just didn't get saved from the preview screen.

for some reason, after upgrading from 1.0RC1, there are a few glitches. I can edit my media queue fine, but:

a) the "media manager" link no longer shows up in the toolbar on the left b) when "review" is clicked, it just starts a blank post, without any of the schnazzy enhanced toolbar.

help?

Tommy,

I have seen that in RC1. The moment you go to preview the link seems to be broken.

A couple of work-arounds that I use: find the entry id and enter it manually in the book listing - everything displays fine after that.

Alternatively, first SAVE the entry as unpublished, and then try previewing. The saving might preserve the link.

I don't mind the book image and title being linked, but I'd like to be able to fix the CSS so the image doesn't have a border. How can I do this?

I should have been more specific earlier. How can I alter the CSS of the box in which the image and title appear? I have a hover attribute on my links and I would prefer it didn't show on the review image.

Now this is weird.

After installing RC2, all of the previous reviews on my main index lost their pictures. The pictures still show up on individual item entries, just not on the indices. This started as soon as I used RC2 to add a new review to an existing item in the queue. Weird.
