If you love your software projects, set them Free!

After much deliberation and going back and forth on how to make money on Media Manager, I finally decided on a license for the software. There was a time I consider selling Media Manager, but I just can’t imagine doing that. It goes too much against what I personally believe in.

So I am happy to announce that Media Manager is Free, now licensed under the Artistic License - one of the more flexible licenses available.

The reason I believe that this license is best is because I want the plugins I write to serve as examples to developers wanting to build plugins of their own. But also because it allows other companies and developers to redistribute versions of Media Manager to their hosted solutions, etc.

Anyway - just remember, while this software is free, it still costs me a lot to maintain, so if you like it, link to me, or throw some scratch my way!
